Why I’m so excited about our new Plexr treatment!

I’m really excited to announce that Plexr is joining our range of Advanced Skincare treatments at The Clinic later this month!

I’m constantly keeping an eye out for new products and equipment to bring to The Clinic. However, for us to even consider adding to our range it has to be something really special. I’m not easily won over by big claims and expensive marketing. If something looks too good to be true, it often is! So I spend a lot of time researching and fact-checking, to make sure that anything new will offer quality AND results to my clients.

What is Plexr?

I have to say I’m really impressed by Plexr. Although it is new to The Clinic, it was first launched in the UK in Autumn 2014. It is a non-invasive soft surgery device. This means it achieves results that are similar to surgery but without the downsides of anaesthesia – and no need for a scalpel!

We will be using it in The Clinic to offer a range of treatments to clients. These include eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), treating crow’s feet and smoker’s lines and addressing acne and acne scarring. We’ll also be offering face lifts, neck lifts and navel lifts, as well as removing skin lesions such as skin tags and moles.

All of the treatments and follow-up care will be performed by me, as Plexr is only available for use by qualified surgeons.

If you want to see it in action, take a look at the video of myself performing upper eyelid blepharoplasty on our lovely volunteer Liane. It’s available on our YouTube channel here.

The science behind the product is very clever, and targets specific areas of the dermis without damaging the surrounding tissue. If you’d like to find out more about how it works, you can read the page on my website or take a look at the official web page for Plexr here.

Plexr demo day

We’re holding a Plexr Clinic Demo Day on Monday March 20th 2017. Myself and the Plexr European training lead will be giving treatments at a hugely reduced rate to suitable clients who are happy to have photos and video footage taken. If you think this sounds like something you would like to take part in, email us on plexr@drmayoni.co.uk by Friday 17th March 2017 and we will get in touch!

Plexr can also be used for tattoo removal, and this is something we will be bringing to the clinic in a few months, so watch this space if this is of interest to you. You can follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all the latest announcements. And expect to see lots of exciting before and after photos there soon!
